Robert Zakanitch | Biography

Robert Zakanitch has been exhibiting in New York since 1965, beginning with the Stable Gallery and Reese Palley, followed by Holly Solomon, Robert Miller, Sidney Janis, and Hirschl|Adler. He has exhibited extensively nationally, including group exhibitions which include the Whitney Annual, Metropolitan Museum and the Museum of Modern Art. Internationally Zakanitch has had one man shows in Paris, Basel, Zurich, and Berlin, among others. He was a founder of the Pattern and Decoration movement and received a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1995.
